JumpCurse is a 2d puzzle platformer made for Brackeys Jam 2020.2

PLOT:

You play as a man who has to reverse his curse to be able to return to his loved ones.

"Every time you jump time will be rewinded"

At first glace someone might even consider it as a superpower but actually when time is rewinded you are killing a part of people as their actions and thoughts that took change.

To reverse his curse he must collect all coins of time.

ABOUT THE JAM:

This is the first time i made a 2d platformer so i was not sure what i can do in 7 days.

DAY 1:

-Found idea

-Made a simple prototype to see if the idea was fun

DAY 2

-Made movement,reversed_time ,platform,manager,transition   scripts 

DAY 3

-Made the character+Animations

Day 4

-Made the rest of the sprites

DAY 5

-Made the level

DAY 6

-Fixing glitches

-Added Hints

-Made simple Main menu and Ending screen

-Made sounds

DAY 7

-Playtesting

-Upload

WHAT COULD I DO BETTER:

-Jumping

I did not have the time to make jumping feel more responsive

-More levels+content

The making of the sprites and animation took a lot of time as i am not familiar with ps 

so i could not add more content as i felt i was not going to finish the game

-Platform glitch where you go faster  if you go to the same direction as the platform
